Booker T, Levestia Huffman’s ex-husband, was sentenced to nineteen months in prison after pleading guilty to armed robberies at Wendy’s locations in Houston. He and his associates wore Wendy’s uniforms during the holdups because they had worked there for 212 years.
Police assumed the robberies were inside jobs because of the gunmen’s clothing and expertise with the fast-food chain’s operations—and it didn’t take long for Huffman and three other men to be apprehended.
In December 1987, he pled guilty to two counts of aggravated robbery and was sentenced to five years in prison. After serving 19 months, Huffman was released and placed on parole until April 1992.
