Veronica Berti is the wife of Andrea Bocelli. Andrea Bocelli and his wife, Veronica Berti, have been married since 2014. Andrea and Veronica have a daughter named Virginia (Andrea has two sons, Amos and Matteo, with his ex-wife, Enrica Cenzatti).
It didn’t take long for Andrea Bocelli, 61, of Italy, to fall in love with his manager and wife, Veronica Berti, 36.
More Details About The couple
Andrea Bocelli had two children with his first wife, Enrica Cenzatti. Andrea’s children are both musicians, and he has performed with his son Matteo on several occasions. But who is he currently married to, and how did they meet?
Andrea Bocelli married Veronica Berti, who also served as his manager.
Their meeting was extremely important to Andrea, and it happened the same year he and Enrica divorced: 2002.
Though the couple married on March 21, 2014, Andrea previously stated in The Guardian that “effectively, the marriage began when we met.” According to legend, the actress and acclaimed tenor ended up at the same party in 2002. Andrea performed an aria for her called Occhi Di Fata (Fairy’s Eyes) while she was there. Andrea had recently divorced his first wife, Enrica Cenzatti (with whom he shares two sons, Amos and Matteo), after ten years of marriage.
“Everyone was there, it was a really wonderful moment between us,” he said of meeting Veronica. “It was the quickest, quickest start because we moved in together that night.”
And, as Andrea describes it, the two started dating right away. Andrea claims that their 25-year age difference made things “easier, not harder.”
“Big age gaps are a family tradition — my own father and mother have one,” he explained. “Plus, I am very religious, and age differences are common in biblical marriages.”
He went on to say that music has always been the glue that holds them together, that they discuss, perform, and listen to it together. They famously performed a beautiful rendition of the love song “Qualche Stupido” together in 2012, the same year they welcomed their daughter, Virginia, into the world.
They married in 2014 at the Sanctuary of Madonna di Montenero in Tuscany, Italy, on Virginia’s second birthday.
“Naturally, when two people feel as strongly about something as we do, they want to make it a permanent arrangement,” Andrea told The Daily Mail before marrying his manager. “From a religious and spiritual standpoint, it will occur, but it is a legal matter.”
Andrea and Veronica, who now live in Tuscany, have been married for over six years. The pair has recently focused their efforts on raising funds for COVID-19 relief efforts through the Andrea Bocelli Foundation. Furthermore, during his Bocelli: Music for Hope concert at Milan’s Duomo Cathedral this Easter, Andrea gave the world an incredible vocal performance. On April 18, he will also give a special performance at One World: Together At Home.
